Not sure if clay is your thing? Come and give it a try! At this 1.5 hour session students will create a wall plaque with a design of their own choosing. Participants will be guided through the process to create their own individual design while learning some of the fundamentals of handbuilding with clay; rolling slabs, coiling and joining clay. These pieces will be left at the studio to dry and Kelly will biqsue fire them, ready to collect in about 4 weeks. Want to add some colour and have the pieces finished with a glaze? As an optional addition ($25) have some extra time in the studio, to add underglaze colours to your piece! After the session Kelly will kiln fire the painted pieces, then glaze and fire them again. These pieces will be ready for collection in about 3 to 4 weeks.
